Silent Frill is back continuing the tradition of conceptual 4-track EPs.
The new offering "Encounters" is about the significance of people
we meet in our lives and their profound effect on us.

"The well chosen cover of the album visualises people reaching out to one another and reminds me slightly of Michelangelo’s painting“The creation of Adam”.

The first track,”Friend”, has an overall industrial mood. It awakens feelings of beïng present in an industrial steelplant, where machines are doing their daily repetitive job. The track starts with an emerging, dramatic drone and evolves in repeating dark soundscapes.

The track “Passenger”, starts with a dark, kind of howling sound and gradually increases its intensity. This track is more varied than the first track and, in the middle of it, has imaginative bleeping tritones. In my opinion, the best track on this album.

“Enemy” is dominated by sawlike machine sounds, that bring up the same feelings as the track “Friend”.

The last track, “Lover”, also has pounding machine sounds on it’s background, combined with a dark drone and sawlike soundscapes.

De Profundis netlabel releases conceptual dark ambient music, from the depth of human psyche. Listening to this album, the relationship between the tracknames and tracks itself is not apparently clear and the names are probably randomly chosen. However, the tracks on Encounters all have a dramatic, raw, industrial edge. This album fits perfectly in De Profundis genre and in Silent Frill’s style. Encounters is definitely not an album to enjoy with your children on a rainy sunday afternoon. For the lover of the industrial dark ambient genre it is a great album."
